# Par2 file cleanup?

Hi,

I’m interested in the new par2 feature and have it turned on in one of my backup sets. It seems to create the par2 files correctly and upload them.

I was wondering though, does Duplicati manage these extra par2 files and clean them up along with the usual retention policies etc?

Yes. The par2 files are added and removed automatically.
