Moved Folder then backups failed

Hello, Duplicati community!

Question on what we should have done… :wink:

I use Duplicati to back up my dad’s computer. Recently he bought a new external drive and moved one of the folders that I had configured in a backup set to the new drive. Duplicati appeared to error and not successfully backup after that date.

I wasn’t sure what to do, so I just created a whole new backup set with his new folder layout. But I’m not sure that this was the correct course of action.

Any suggestions?

Have you moved one of the source folders if so you need to edit (remove that moved folder ) your sources in the backup

You can delete files and subfolders of a specified source folder.
If you delete the source folder itself, the backup will fail, unless you use the –allow-missing-source option.
