Just following up that this problem (along with many others) disappeared after I switched from CIFS to NFS.

That’s good to hear. I wonder if that’s caused by CIFS or the implementation that Duplicati uses.
Are there any news on this?
I have the following setup
source: CIFS(Samba) mount -> Docker readonly volume
destination: local disk
and i am running Duplicati - 2.0.3.3_beta_2018-04-02
The backups are still created, what are the downsides to this issue.
