I think this will save the load on the hard disk and make the backup and restore jobs faster. I actually think Duplicati is causing the faster wearing off of the hard disk. My hard disk is already showing bad sectors and i have to replace it, and though i can’t be sure Duplicati is the reason, it sure implement some intensive writing on the hard disk.
