Windows has a default exclusion list already, it is in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToBackup

I posted the question on the forums, but this might be a good way to generate the list instead of having a manually generated one. Or in addition…
