I suppose it is normal to get the “connection to server lost” message (or something like that) when you activate a new version of duplicati, but I suspect the average user will misunderstand this error message as meaning that there is a problem with the internet connection (as in: cannot connect to backend server).
Perhaps this message could be changed to something like “duplicati does not seem to be running. will try again in 15 seconds”?
