I try to test the new full-disk backup feature but I cannot get it working.
When I go to Full Disk Source, I see the drive sda (1,819 TB) but when I try to see the partitions an error window appears with:

```plaintext
Failed to initialize disk: /dev/sda, Failed to initialize disk: Unable to load shared library 'libc_wrapper.so' or one of its dependencies. In order to help diagnose loading problems, consider using a tool like strace. If you're using glibc, consider setting the LD_DEBUG environment variable: /usr/lib/duplicati/libc_wrapper.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /usr/lib/duplicati/liblibc_wrapper.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /usr/lib/duplicati/libc_wrapper.so.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory /usr/lib/duplicati/liblibc_wrapper.so.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
```

That sounds like a packaging problem.
Do you see the file `/usr/lib/duplicati/libc_wrapper.so` on your system?
What is the OS/CPU-arch you are running and what version/package of Duplicati are you using?

If the file is missing and you want a quick-fix, you can download the matching file from here:

What I find on my system is:

```plaintext
/usr/lib/duplicati/runtimes/linux-x64/native/libc_wrapper.so
/usr/lib/duplicati/runtimes/linux-arm64/native/libc_wrapper.so
/usr/lib/duplicati/runtimes/linux-x86/native/libc_wrapper.so
/usr/lib/duplicati/runtimes/linux-arm/native/libc_wrapper.so
```

but not:
/usr/lib/duplicati/libc\_wrapper.so

I have a raspi5 with NextcloudPi v1.58.0 running and updated duplicati with:

```plaintext
apt install ./duplicati-2.4.0.0_stable_2026-09-03-linux-arm64-gui.deb
```

The OS is Debian Trixie

Thanks, that clearly shows the problem. The packaging does not put the `libc_wrapper.so` into the correct location so it fails to load. Additionally, we should not ship libraries that are not relevant to the package.

In that case, you have the arm64 version, so try this command:

```plaintext
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/duplicati/runtimes/linux-arm64/native/libc_wrapper.so /usr/lib/duplicati/libc_wrapper.so
```

That should put the library in the right place so Duplicati can load it.

Thank you.
That did the trick. Will there be a new package?

Yes. The canary build has the fix:
[https://duplicati.com/download?channel=canary](https://duplicati.com/download?channel=canary)

If you have the option to try it out and report back, that would be much appreciated.

Otherwise, the fix will be included in the next stable patch release (2.4.0.1).
