Hi.
I can’t click on the “Continue” button to create a backup, because the popup window that appears telling me to “remember to copy the password” obscures it.
This is on Linux (Arch EndeavourOS), running firefox 143.0.4 (64-bit).

Hi Danny, thanks for reporting.
We have just released a new beta builds that fixes it:
Release: 2.1.2.2 (Beta) 2025-10-10
The issue is, AFAIK, only present in Firefox.
Hi. Thanks for the speedy response!
Unfortunately, I’m only just starting out with Linux so I don’t know what to do with that. I’ve been a Windows user since before it existed, and a duplicati user for a long time, too. So I’m happy to hack things about, but I installed it on this machine using “yay -S duplicati” and I don’t know how to override that.
How long will it be before this new version is available via yay?
I don’t know, because the Arch packages are maintained by someone who is not with Duplicati Inc.
It looks like you can monkey patch it by downloading the current beta as a zip file, extract it, and copy it into /opt/duplicati. I have not used Arch but the script is fairly simple.
You can get the zip package here:
Thanks for the instructions. I think I’m now running the new beta, but I still get the problem with the Copy to Clipboard overlay. The MD5 matches and the reported version looks correct (screenshots attached).
Is there anything else that I can check?

I just noticed the “use old GUI” link, and that works, fine. So it’s not urgent for me, though it’s odd that it’s a bug that you found and was fixed for you by that new version.
Thanks for your help!
The idea that it’s fixed got retracted. Please see the note in 2.1.2.2 release notice.
It’s good to know specific broken cases though. Maybe that can help guide testing.
Yeah, sorry about that. I misread the commit tree, so the fix was not in 2.1.2.2 as stated, but I made a new 2.1.2.3 which is the same + the UI fix.
Thank you. I will, at some point, get around to trying it out again. The old UI is working fine, though, and there are deadlines, followed by more deadlines, in my intray ![]()
