Amazon Glacier storage and lost Duplicati database

I’m using the Amazon “Glacier” storage as destination for my backups. I believe this means that Duplicati cannot readily read files from the Glacier storage. If I somehow lose the Duplicati database; that is, if it gets corrupted or the hard drive dies (thus losing metadata for the backed-up files), how will I be able to restore the encrypted backup from the Glacier?

Hi @wolf, welcome to the forum!

I believe you’ll have to manually request Amazon thaw ALL the duplicati* files and once they are available you can do a database recreate or restore direct from backup as normal.

Of course you won’t have forgotten your encryption passphrase, right?
